Description
The Steak Knife made an appearance after WW2, as home life grew busy in the modern household there was less time to sharpen cutlery. The steak knife was made to cut meat with a more agressive serrated steel blade and point. It typically featured a wood or plastic handle and rivets but its popularity waned in the 1970’s when looks and cheap production overtook design and function and the steak knife option only endured in restaurants as a mark of quality.
